Prior to year 2015, broadcast based entertainment was restrictive, scattered, inflexible, impersonal and expensive at times compelling users to - watch what was being broadcast, rather than, what they prefer. Though the internet penetration was significant in the cities, using it for entertainment was expensive proposition to large percentage of population. With Jio telecom launch on the horizon, there was a potential for offering the video on demand services to nearly 250M population in cities ready to switch to internet based entertainment.
Solution
FORTUNE8 (previously known as Precision Vector systems) developed a complete solution for offer entertainment through video on demand model. Platform consisted of both Digital and Hardware products to offer great user experiences and entertainment consumption at various levels. Under digital products, Mobile entertainment app, Mobile remote app, TV app and Content management system were developed. And, Streaming stick, WiFi remote and Set-top box were developed under hardware product category.
Showmeka Mini - A streaming stick; tiny and compact design that plugs discreetly into an HDMI port of a digital TVs. We carefully sculpted the form within the tiny volume to emote cutting edge tech and be streamlined with other devices in the platform.
Showmeka Station - A Set-top box for home entertainment and gaming. Comprehensive entertainer with connectivity to home theater systems and enhanced memory for great gaming experience.
Showmeka Mobile and TV App - A simple and seamless user interactions and stunning visual design to offer great experience to the users across different terminals (Mobile, Tablet and TV).
Showmeka is a vast application designed and developed by FORTUNE8 to cater entertainment content of various categories across multiple screens. This involved visualization of complex workflows, creating wireframes and developing interactive prototypes to test and improve the user interactions. Further the platform is designed to be extensible to various other businesses such as, education, gaming and retail.
